William D. Mullinnex's Obituary
William D. Mullinnex, 82, of Zanesville, formally of Dresden, died Thursday morning, March 20, 2025, at Cedar Hill Nursing Home, Zanesville.
Born January 15, 1943, in Muskingum County, Ohio, he was a son of the late William H. & Alice Mae (Garrett) Mullinnex and a 1961 graduate of Jefferson High School. William retired from General Electric and attended First Baptist Church of Dresden. He was a United States Army Veteran. William enjoyed reading and was known for the athletic articles that he wrote for Tri-Valley Sports. He was a little league coach for several years, coaching the young Tri-Valley athletes in baseball and basketball. One of his proudest accomplishments was being inducted into the Tri-Valley Hall of Fame.
Surviving is his brother, Jim (Karen) Mullinnex; and close friend, Neal Adams.
The family would like to extend a warm thank you to Greg Meadows for his friendship with William and the caring staff at Cedar Hill Nursing Home who took exceptional care of William.
Friends may visit from 11:00AM till the time of the service at 1:00PM, Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street, Dresden.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00PM, Wednesday, March 26, 2025, with Pastor Thomas M. Robinson at the funeral home.
William will be laid to rest with full military honors in Dresden Cemetery.
