Virginia M. Krinn's Obituary
A memorial service for Virginia M. (Butterfield) Krinn, 91 of Newark, Ohio will be held Thursday July 16, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church 88 N. Fifth Street, Newark with Pastor Todd Frail officiating. Burial will be in Newark Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Krinn died Friday, July 10, 2015 at Sharonbrooke. She was born March 1, 1924 in Logan, Ohio to the late Roy and Bess (Sweeney) Butterfield.
Mrs. Krinn was employed as a pharmacist. She had been employed by the State of Ohio at the Athens Mental Health Center and Full Pharmacy in Athens, M&R Pharmacy in Troy and Stoltz Pharmacy in Logan. She was a 1948 graduate of The Ohio State University Pharmacy College. She was a member of the Kappa Epsilon Sorority and RhoChi Pharmaceutical Honor Society. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Newark, the United Methodist Women, Esther Circle and the Candle Lighters. She volunteered serving meals for the Bereavement Committee and was a church greeter. She was a member of the PEO. She had traveled throughout Europe and had experienced passage through the Panama Canal. She enjoyed painting mostly in water colors. She passionately followed her Ohio State Buckeyes, loved her puppy dogs and enjoyed the wildlife that visited her backyard.
She is survived by her sons, Gary (Karen) Krinn of Newark, Doug (Connie) Krinn of Plymouth, Minnesota; grandchildren, David Krinn of Minnesota, Kelly Krinn of Washington, DC, Brian Krinn of Newark, Kevin Krinn of Newark; and 6 nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Kenley Ralph Krinn; sister, Jean Ettner.
Visitation will be observed Wednesday July 15, 2015 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the VENSIL & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME 1850 West Main St., Newark, OH and one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday.
The family requests memorial contributions to the First United Methodist Church Memorial Fund. 88 N. Fifth Street, P.O. Box 729 Newark, Ohio 43058-0729. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
