Rose D. Offenbaker's Obituary
A funeral service for Rose D. Offenbaker, 76 of Newark will be held Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Newark Chapel of VENSIL & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME with Eric Miller officiating. Burial will be in Wilson Cemetery.
Mrs. Offenbaker died Friday, October 25, 2013 at her residence. She was born August 19, 1937 in Newark to the late Ralph and Bessie (Cashdollar) Davis.
Mrs. Offenbaker enjoyed playing Bingo and volunteering at Heritage Hall. She was a member of the Saturday Morning Card Club at Jobs Manor. She liked doing crossword puzzles. She would get very vocal while watching wrestling and kept current on several of the daytime TV series. She spent her life caring for her family.
She is survived by seven children, Jeffrey Davis of Corbin, KY, Sherry Offenbaker of Columbus, Donna (Roger) Rine of Newark, Tammy (Diane) Heck of Newark, Donald (Kim) Offenbaker of Arkansas, Bo Offenbaker of Brooklyn, NY, George (Jeana) Offenbaker of Newark; step-children, Robin (Mike) Bevard of Newark, Brenda (Ernie) Goldsmith of Newark; grandchildren, Aubrey, Clay, Kyle, Roland, Charae, Tasha, Heather, Joseph, J.W., Adam, Kassidy; great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Heather; brother, Ralph “Bill” (Pat) Davis of Millersport.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Offenbaker, March 10, 2004; son, William "Bill" Offenbaker, December 31, 2012 and an infant brother.
Calling hours will be observed Monday, October 28, 2013 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home 1850 West Main Street.
