A funeral service for Rose D. Offenbaker, 76 of Newark will be held Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Newark Chapel of VENSIL & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME with Eric Miller officiating. Burial will be in Wilson Cemetery. Mrs. Read Obituary

Rose was such a nice person. She was a wonderful neighbor. I sure enjoyed visiting with her. Also, had lots of fun playing cards with her. She will sure be missed. With sympathy and prayers to the family.

My stepmother, a strong woman who loved babies, probably changed more diapers, than anyone that I know. She watched my sons. We had good times watching wrestling,Bingo(She had to watch my cards)Just thinking about stopping to see you, sadly I waited too long. You were proud of your kids whom are all smart, good hearted, compassionate people. I love you. We were shy to say (that) Thanks for the memories. You're love of ballgames was obvious too. To Bill and Rose's extended family...I was shocked today when I learned of Rose's passing. Despite a lot of years and many miles having passed since the last time I saw Rose or you, Bill,you are still family. I've lifted each of you to our Heavenly Father for his blessing and comfort as you deal with Rose's passing.
Rose was a good person who was very loved. She is already missed. All of you are in my prayers.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all! Now you have a special guardian angel looking over each of you!
