Tami,Jeff and family, So sorry for your loss,You are all in my prayers.
Eleanor Roosevelt wrote that people come into our lives for 'Reasons', 'Seasons', or 'A Lifetime'. I have the privilege of having this Father/Son relationship for 'A Lifetime'. Sharing this with the generations of Jacob and Lydia Ashcraft where Dad was born at the family home on Ashcraft 'Ridge' which will celebrate its 150th year in 2018. Dad gained his passion for the rolling green hills and woodlands from talents of his Grandparents. His passion for woodworking was demonstrated with his many more recent revitalization's of many pieces.
He has rejoined Mother and Kenny, as well as his parents, grandparents, Wilma-his oldest sister who died at age 3, and Dwight, his younger brother.
How Grateful to Monna and her family for the 'Season', that they entered Dad's most recent years. We know that he joins Bill, Monna's first love, and Jay her oldest son. Truly a demonstration, that families can Unite and continue to experience Unconditional Love, that Jesus taught.
Love is a transforming word, that we had many long conversations. You did not allow cancer to determine or interfere with your continued focus of sharing Love to everyone you met. Even if the 'Reason' was just a smile in the grocery line, or the 'Season' of a longer relationship, and certainly for the many that you shared the 'Lifetime' relationships.
We 'Celebrate' the many accomplishments of your life, and know that it has 'Inspired' so many in ways that are yet to be realized. We do not say, 'Good Bye', rather, we await the 'Homecoming'. Lovingly, your number 2 Son
Beloved Daughter, Jeff and Chester + all grandchildren........Having known Ray and interacted with his family for several years, he truly showed others what a fun, uninhibited, Godly and genuine man he was! Okay my friend...you've graduated!!
Heartfelt love and blessings to your remaining family.
Mona, You and the family will be in our prayers at this time of loss. Ray was a true testamony to his faith. What a wonderful Christian he was. My husband and I really enjoyed talking with him. He shared so much of his testimony with us in the past. He will be fondly remembered by our family. God bless you always. In our hearts always the Motz family.
I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Ray, he was always so kind to me. His Family and Friends are all in my prayers.
True Gentlemen come into our lives far and few between, when they do, we know it. I am Thankful and Honored for the time that you have shared one of your many paths in this life for me. To borrow the expression, “I have been changed for Good”. I know that all who have met you and were a part of your life have been Blessed. I remember when you & Monna were visiting and the “baking soda” & “corn starch” mix up, I made. You both went with flow and I could see the Love in your eyes for Monna and how great you both have been for each other. I always enjoyed seeing and listen to you talk about your wood working projects. I felt your pride, patience and creativity in your craftsmanship and how you related it to your life experiences and sharing some of those times. I know that being the Loving, Kind, good sense & fun person, never met a stranger was in your DNA. You truly have set an example for us all to follow. God Bless and keep us, and Thank You for all the Love you have given your families, friends and myself. The world is a much better place because you were here. Continued journeys, I know you watch over us all, Peace my friend.
Ray was one of the kindest and caring persons my husband John and have known. I am sure our Lord has welcomed him into heaven. We are praying for the family in this trying time and know that many prayers will be said. God Bless all.
Rest in Peace. You have the kindest heart and are one of the most loving persons I have ever known.
