A funeral service for Freda Evelyn (Davis) Mathis, 80 of Newark will be held Saturday January 15, 2011 at 1 p.m. at the Church of God, God’s Acres, 675 N. Cedar Street, Newark with Irwin Sesher officiating. Burial will be in Smith Read Obituary

We were so sorry to hear that Freda passed away. We were so glad we got to see her at the Smith family reunion a few years back. Wish we could have been there to pay our respect in person. However, our thoughts and prayers are with you all. She was a wonderful person and such a pretty lady. Even though we know she is in a better place, I know how much she will be missed.
