Funeral services for Chester Ray Gault, 96 of Newark will be held Monday May 2, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Newark Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home with Scott Bryant presiding. Burial will be in Rocky Fork Cemetery in Hickman, Read Obituary
We are just seeing the obits for Happy and Chet. There were our neighbors before we moved to Florida. I sent Christmas cards to them every year, and we received from them every year until their move to Sharonbrooke. We feel so blessed to have had them in our lives. They were both such very special people.
I am sorry to hear of Chester's passing. He and my late husband were good friends and shared their enthusiasm for John Deere tractors over the years. May your precious memories help you through this difficult time.

My dad, Harlen Cotterman, and I stopped by on Monday to see you and Chester, not knowing about his passing. We were so sorry to hear it and miss seeing you both. Dad is visiting in Columbus until mid-May, when he will be moving to Florida. Our family sends our sympathy.

I'm saddened to hear of Chester's passing and the loss that I know you and your family must feel. I am comforted by the memories of the two of you and your long time friendship with my father and mother through the years of Deux Cum Class fellowship and service to God you shared at Christ (East Main) UMC. I was so happy to have had the opportunity to sit and visit with Chester and you on those occasions a couple of years ago when you lived next to my mother-in-law Sarah Leavitt at Sharonbrooke. It was good to remember and talk of your memories of my parents and those happier times in years past. Thanks to you and Chester for the gift of faithful friendship. So sorry for your loss. I always his attempts to visit Mom in the Special Care Unit at SharonBrooke although she couldn't remember his name. I fondly remember him escorting many ladies to the dining room even though is sight was less than perfect. He was a special person.
