Carol E. Brunton's Obituary
A funeral service for Carol E. Brunton, 62 of Newark will be held Thursday, May 17, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in the sanctuary of Central Christian Church, 547 Mt. Vernon Road with the Rev. Dr. Richard Rintamaa officiating. Burial will follow in Licking Cemetery.
Mrs. Brunton died Saturday May 12, 2012 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 14, 1949 in Newark to the late Ralph E. and Mary E. (Orr) Turner.
Mrs. Brunton was employed over 25 years with the Park National Bank. She spent most of those years at the 21st Street branch as a teller and as an extraordinary Customer Service Representative. She volunteered with several local charities including the Heisy Glass Museum and Homeward Bound Animal Shelter. She was active in the Lakewood School programs while the boys were in school. She was a member of Central Christian Church and was a member of a card club.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Lovell L. Brunton, whom she married March 24, 1969; two sons, Rick Brunton of Peoria, Arizona, Todd (Denise) Brunton of Newark; brother, James (Pam) Turner of Ada, OH., granddaughters, Madeline E. Brunton, Ashley N. Brunton, Janelle A. Brunton; nieces Deeann (Jim) Beatty, Jill (Dan) Fisher; nephew, Eric (Nikki) Turner; a host of friends and Sammy.
Calling hours will be observed Wednesday, May 16, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the VENSIL & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME 1850 West Main Street, Newark.
The family requests memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, Central Region Office-LCKG, 5555 Frantz Road, Dublin, Ohio 43017. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
