Arlene E. Goodman's Obituary
A funeral service to celebrate the life of Arlene E. Goodman, 95 of Newark will be held Friday August 8, 2014 at 1:00 pm in the Newark Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home with Pastor Bryan K. Grove officiating. Burial will be in Newark Memorial Gardens. Military honors will be conducted by the Licking County Veterans Alliance.
Mrs. Goodman died August 3, 2014 at the Windsor House in Liberty, Ohio. She was born February 20, 1919 in Allentown, PA to the late Erwin and Elizabeth (Butz) Leiser.
Mrs. Goodman was a Registered Nurse. She served overseas in France and Germany as a First Lt. in the U.S. Army during WWII. She enjoyed needlecrafts and her family.
She is survived by her son, David (Ann) Goodman of Cortland, OH; grandchildren, James (Kristen) Goodman of Heath, OH, Dawn (Steve) Green of Westerville, OH, Adam Goodman of Erie, PA; great-grandchildren, Cody & Brittany Goodman, Lincoln & Abigail Green, Clayton & Adyson Goodman.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Goodman in 1992 and son, James E. Goodman in 1983.
Calling hours will be observed Friday August 8, 2014 from 11am until time of service at the VENSIL & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME 1850 West Main St.
