William H. Wallace's Obituary
A military graveside service for William H. Wallace 90 of Newark will be held at a later date at Prescott National Cemetery in Prescott, AZ.
Mr. Wallace died on August 12, 2018 at his daughter’s home. He was born January 6, 1928 in Springfield, VT to William H. and Jessie (French) Wallace.
He was an auto mechanic operating a Gulf service station in Pembroke, MA and served as a Captain on the Desert Hills Fire Dept. in Prescott, AZ. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was a member of the Good Sam’s Camping Group. The family traveled throughout the states RV camping. He enjoyed fishing and was a member of the Rod and Gun Club.
He is survived by two daughters, Loretta Black and Claudette Hegel both of Newark; son William H. Wallace, III of Prescott, AZ; grandson, Tyler Black.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Dorothy L. (Walker) Wallace on September 24, 2013; sister, Dorothy Elkins.
