William P. "Billy Pat" Britton's Obituary
A funeral service for William “Billy Pat” Britton, 78 of Newark will be held Tuesday 11:00 a.m. in the Newark Chapel Vensil & Chute Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Rath officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Columbus.
Mr. Britton died Thursday November 3, 2016 at Kindred Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born September 18, 1938 in Frankfort, KY to the late Rufus and Gladys (Brawner) Britton.
He was employed in sales and marketing for Outsource Partners of Indianapolis. He retired in 2012. He was a graduate of Frankfort High School and received an Associate Degree from COTC. He stayed involved in a monthly meeting of members of his 1956 high school graduating class. He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Newark First United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Sue (Perry) Britton, whom he married May 25, 1979; children; Michael (Joanie) Britton of Buda, TX, Julie Vickers of KY, Adam (Marci) Britton of Newark, Jill (Rick) Neale of Xenia; eight grandchildren, Michael Britton, Jr., Owen Britton, Theo Britton, Eli Britton, Michael Vickers, Paul Vickers, Jr., Alex Vickers, Ford Britton; three great-grandchildren, Addie Britton, Jaden Vickers, Paul Vickers, III; brother, Douglas (Faye) Britton of Dayton.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Erin Britton.
Calling hours will be observed from 9 am to 11 am on Tuesday at the funeral Home 1850 West Main Street.
