Willard "Bill" Kuhlwein's Obituary
A funeral service for Willard “Bill” Kuhlwein, 86 of Hanover will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 2, 2026 at Hanover Presbyterian Church with Cory Campbell officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service at Hanover Cemetery.
Bill passed away Sunday evening, December 28, 2025 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center, surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 26, 1939 in Ashville, Ohio to the late Ray and Vivian (Sawyer) Kuhlwein.
Bill retired as Director of Information Systems at Licking Memorial Hospital. He was an avid golfer and big Ohio State football fan.
Survivors include his children, Leland (Mel) Kuhlwein, Lance (Karen) Kuhlwein and Karen (Scott) Winegardner; grandchildren, Michael Kuhlwein, Megan Kuhlwein Coleman, Rachel Kuhlwein, Summer Winegardner, Jimmy Tarbutton, Jess Davis; great grandchildren, Declan Coleman, Atlas Coleman, Johanna Kuhlwein, Mia Kuhlwein, Wren Kuhlwein, Ivyonna Hammond, Teagan Davis Tytus Davis and Logan Nethers.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his wife Joan (Rothe) Kuhlwein; and a brother, Robert Kuhlwein.
Friends and family may call 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Friday, at Hanover Presbyterian Church, 732 N. Main Street, NE, Newark.
