Wilbur L. "SweePea" Kidd's Obituary
A memorial service for Wilbur L. “Swee Pea” Kidd, 61 of Newark will be held Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Newark Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 1850
W. Main St. with Pastor Jeff Smith officiating. A visitation will be observed from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Mr. Kidd died Tuesday November 7, 2017 at Echo Manor Extended Care in Pickerington. He was born September 2, 1956 in Newark to James Neal and Ethel Eva (Ryan) Kidd.
Mr. Kidd attended Newark High School and was employed for 29 years at Owens Corning Fiberglas working in all areas of production. He was a sports enthusiast, following Jeff Gordon in NASCAR and an avid fan of the Minnesota Vikings since his childhood. He was a supporter of the efforts of ASPCA.
He is survived by his sons, Chad L. Kidd, William N. Kidd, Jared K. Kidd all of Newark; sisters, Judy (Dan) Kirkbride of Canal Winchester, Roberta (Brad) Collmar of Coshocton; brothers, John (Sabrina) Kidd, James Kidd all of Calhoun, GA; twelve grandchildren; several aunts, uncles; numerous nieces, nephews and his cat, Tally.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by Joyce Oliver the mother of his children.
The family requests memorial contributions to Kindred Hospice, ASPCA or to the funeral home. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
