Wendell "Buck" Francis McCafferty's Obituary
Wendell “Buck” Francis McCafferty, 84, of Frazeysburg, died Monday, July 11, 2022 at Altercare Zanesville.
Born August 8, 1937 in Pleasantville, Ohio, Buck was a son of the late Winfred and Ruth (Stover) McCafferty. He was a 1955 graduate of Rushville High School and worked many years as a foreman for The Shelly Company. Buck enjoyed restoring old tractors but what he loved most was spending time with his family.
Surviving is his loving wife, Mary Ann (Longaberger) McCafferty whom he married March 31, 1983; two sons, Kim (Cheryl) McCafferty of Pleasantville, OH, Tom (Ruth) McCafferty of Glenford, OH; four stepsons, Ronald (Melissa Rusler) Schumacher of Glenford, OH, Jeffrey (Susie) Schumacher of Westerville, OH, Donald (Cherie) Schumacher of Newark, OH and James (Kris) Schumacher of Gahanna, OH; six grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; four step-grandchildren and two step-great grandchildren.
A caring cremation has taken place. A memorial service celebrating the life of Buck will take place at a later date. Buck will be laid to rest at the Dresden Cemetery.
