Wendy and I, Pearleene Keller Reffitt, were born just 2 doors away from one another on 8th street in Dresden, Ohio. We have kept in touch all these years and had just said to my son, I need to call Wendy to get the Nut Bread recipe of her mothers that I accidentally lost. I have had her on my mind and didn't know she had gone to a nursing home. I am so saddened that I did not reach out to her to get the recipe. Wendy was a very good childhood friend. Wendy's passing is a tremendous loss to her family, many friends & the entire community. She gave great support & warmth to all who knew her. She was an excellent ambassador for the Longaberger Basket Co. & had unbelievable patience with even the most demanding customers, treating every one of them equally & fairly, with a smile. She was a very patient & caring wife to Bob, a loving & nurturing mother to all their boys & a very active member of her church & community, as well. Our thoughts & prayers go out to Steve (my old classmate & friend) & to all of Wendy's extended family for your great loss of a very special & grand lady.

Sincere condolences to Wendy's family and her brothers as well. I have fond memories of working with her in JW's Workshop at the Homestead. She was so interesting as she greeted and signed baskets for guests and always shared stories of how she and her siblings grew up on Ninth Street in Dresden. Thank you Wendy for the kindness you showed to all of us who worked in Guest Relations. Rest in God's Peace.

I loved working with Wendy at the original Village Etc Shop in the early 90’s. She always took the time to sign baskets for the tourists and would tell them a funny story or two.

Miss Wendy was such a kind lady, an amazing story teller and so full with a fun jolly spirit. I have so many fond memories chatting with her with each visit to Dresden and at the Bee’s!

Condolences to everyone within the Longaberger family! May each of the Longaberger family, find great comfort knowing she is back with her dear husband Bob, JW & Gma Bonnie, and all her other siblings & family that welcome her above.

I can only imagine the stories they are sharing at this time and tossing of dinner rolls!
