Wanda J. Campbell's Obituary
A celebration of life service will be held at a later date for Wanda June Campbell, 78 of Newark who passed away on December 29, 2023 at Licking Memorial Hospital. She was born June 6, 1945 in Clintonville, WVA to Amos and Nellie (Black) Hinkle.
Wanda retired from the Cherry Valley Elementary cafeteria. She was a wonderful cook and specialized in desserts particularly pies. She enjoyed caring for her flowers and playing bingo. Her dogs were her best friends. Her family was her top priority. She looked forward to family cookouts and daily family lunches.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Donald Campbell; daughters, Tammy Oliver, Kimberly Price; grandchildren, Nicholas Price (Ashlee Elliott), Heidi Oliver (Jesse Hunt); great-grandchildren, Kyndahl Price, Kylo Price, Atticus Caldwell, Margot Hunt all of Newark; two siblings; numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by seven sisters and brothers.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 4, 2024 at the Newark Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 1850 West Main Street.
