Virginia "Sue" O"Flaherty's Obituary
A funeral service for Virginia “Sue” O’Flaherty, 97 of Newark will be 1:00 p.m. Friday in the Newark Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home with Pastor Rube Gayheart officiating. Burial will be in Hanover Cemetery.
Sue died Monday at Kindred of Newark. She was born November 12, 1917 in Frazeysburg to the late Ernest L . and Edith B. (Robinson) McKee. A graduate of Hanover High School, Sue was mainly a homemaker. She had been a member of Marne United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her son, Dale (Cindy) O’Flaherty of Heath; grandchildren, Keary (Bev) O’Flaherty of Heath, Colleen (Paul) Hockman of Rockwood, TN, Darinda (Greg) Byers of Heath, Fancheska (Barry) Wright of Buckeye Lake, Dominque (Perry) Crawmer of Toboso, Jake (Marci) Hendershot of Nashport, Raquel Hendershot, Concha Hendershot, both of Frazeysburg; 15 great grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Sue was preceded in death by her husband Russell B. O’Flaherty, December 16, 1973; a daughter, Wilma Hendershot; and a granddaughter, Angelique Hendershot.
Friends and family may call 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 19, 2014 at VENSIL & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME, 1850 W. Main Street, Newark.
