Virginia Boyling-Goodney's Obituary
Virginia (Fox) Boyling-Goodney, 96 passed away September 16, 2015 in Hospice Care in Newark, OH.
She was born March 9, 1919 in Claremont, VA to August and Bessie (Butt) Fox. She was a 1937 graduate of Newark High School. She retired from Ohio Department of Transportation serving as a secretary. She was a member of the Licking County Historical Society and charter member of the B.P.O. Elks Ladies Auxiliary.
Virginia is survived by daughters, Marilyn L Roan, of Idaho and Carole (David) Brooks of California; sister, Gloria Thompson of Newark; five grandchildren, Lynn Taylor, Jennifer Mangiantini, Kimberly Rosales, Emily Roan, Chet Roan; six great-grandchildren, Matthew Mangiantini, Nicholas Mangiantini, Megan Taylor, Cameron Taylor, Alexandra Rosales, Courtney Rosales; and seven nieces.
The family wishes to express a special thanks to Bobbi Meldahl, her niece and loyal caregiver.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, Chester (Chet) L. Boyling and Walter Goodney; a sister, Gertrude M. Fox; and brother, Leo J. Fox Sr.
Calling hours and celebration of life will be 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 1850 W. Main St., Newark. A private burial will be Monday at St. Joseph Cemetery.
