Virginia A. Bauwin's Obituary
Viginia A. Bauwin, 96 of Newark, passed peacefully Friday afternoon, March 27, 2026, bathed in warm light and surrounded by photos, family, and so much love. She was born October 13, 1929 in Austinburg, Ohio to the late Victor and Nora (Greenslade) Cadmes.
Virginia had worked for Ashtabula County in the Title Office and alongside her husband in their hardware business. Her legacy lives on in the memory of clasped hands over her heart with soft giggles. It smells like hyacinths and tastes like green beans from the garden, or vine-ripened tomatoes. Or chocolate stars on a stool by the Christmas Eve fire.
Survivors include her daughter, Pam Simmons (Bruce); a daughter in-law, Linda Bauwin; step-sons, James Bauwin and Todd Bauwin; and so many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and extended family, her heart was overflowing.
In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, James J. Bauwin; a son, Jay C. Bauwin; and a daughter, Karen E. Daniels; two brothers and four sisters.
Private burial will take place at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
