Vickie Withers' Obituary
NEWARK: A funeral service celebrating the life of Vickie Withers, 71 of Newark will be 12:00 p.m. Thursday in the Newark Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Kirkpatrick officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Vickie passed away September 22, 2014 at her home. She was born July 25, 1943 in Carrollton, KY to the late Fred C. and Celestine (Alexander) Baker. A graduate of Butler High School, Vickie worked as a Processing Clerk for Blue Cross/Blue Shield and as a Hairdresser at the J.C. Penny Salon. Vickie was a member of Spring Hills Baptist Church; a Past President of Plymouth, Michigan Jaycette’s. She loved to read, golf, and work crossword puzzles. Vickie was also an artist, she took great joy in painting.
Survivors include her husband Jim Withers, whom she married August 1, 1981; daughters, Michelle (Jeff) Jenkins of Heath, Tanya (David) Trager of Newark, Cara (Roderick) Wood of Findlay, Jessica (Brendan) Murphy of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Brittany Trager, Hayley Trager, Spencer Wood, Clayton Wood, Ryley Wood, Madisyn Jenkins, McKenzie Murphy, Emma Murphy, and Addison Murphy; and a sister, Roycelaine (Ernest) Kennedy.
Friends and family may visit from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday and 10:00 a.m. until the time of service Thursday at VENSIL & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME, 1850 W. Main Street, Newark.
