Vickie Darlene Lemmon's Obituary
A memorial service for Vickie Darlene Lemmon, 55 of Newark, OH will be held Sunday, November 29, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. in the First Baptist Church, 108 Temple Street, Hinton, West Virginia.
Mrs. Lemmon passed away peacefully at home Monday, November 23, 2015. She was born February 20, 1960 in Hinton, W.VA to the late James Russell and Betty Francis (Thompson) Burdette.
She was employed by Licking Memorial Health Systems as a LPN for 16 years. She worked at the Granville Medical Center for 13 years with Dr. Barth. She was awarded the office MVP Award in 2015. She enjoyed yard sales, various crafts, flower gardening and reading in her leisure. She looked forward to trips to West Virginia and made several trips to the beach and a cruise. Family time was her favorite activity and especially being with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Vincent W. Lemmon; children, Tommy Joe Harrah, Megan (Jay) Bussey, Whitney (Joshua) Freed all of Newark; grandchildren, Jaylynn Bussey, Avery Bussey, Jeremiah Freed; sisters, Patty (Jack) Hartwell of Hinton, WVA, Karen Dady of Zanesville, OH; brother, Ronnie (Karen) Burdette of Arizona; several nieces, nephews; her pets, Aphro and Tigger.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Danny Wayne Burdette.
A visitation will be held Friday, November 27, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Newark Chapel, VENSIL & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME 1850 West Main Street.
