Vicki L. Reed's Obituary
Vicki L. Reed, 53, of Dresden, Ohio died Tuesday evening, May 28, 2013 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
Born May 3, 1960 in Rootstown, Ohio she is the daughter of the late Bruce Whitted and Shirley (Mullins) Whitted of Alliance, Ohio. Vicki was a 1978 graduate of Rootstown High School and she received both her Bachelor’s degree and her Master’s degree from The Ohio State University. She was employed by The Ohio State University Extension Service and was currently the Muskingum County 4-H Youth Educator and had been employed in the Muskingum County Extension office since 1983. Vicki loved taking care of her animals, promoting 4-H, helping her children with all their paperwork and studying the Civil War. She was a member of the Dresden United Methodist Church.
Surviving in addition to her mother is her husband, Bob Reed whom she married September 2, 1989; a son, Eric Reed of Dresden and a daughter, Emily Reed of Dresden. Also surviving are two brothers, Matthew Whitted of Rootstown and Roger (Tammi) Whitted of New Benton, Ohio; a brother in-law, Doug Mills of Alliance; her father in-law, Dean Reed of Zanesville and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her father she was preceded in death by a sister, Rhonda Mills and her mother in-law, Martha Reed.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm Monday, June 3, 2013 at North Terrace Church of Christ, 1420 Brandywine Blvd., Zanesville, Ohio.
Calling hours will also be for one hour prior to the funeral service, which will be at 11:00am Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at the church with Minister William Meaige, Minister Sam Dunn and the Rev. Richard Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Dresden Cemetery.
