Valerie Jones Vollmer, age 76, passed away September 24, 2014, in Fairbanks, Alaska.
Wife of the late Dr. Robert W. Vollmer, daughter of the deceased Harold and Eleanor (May) Jones.
Survived by sons, Robert B. and Michael W.; grandson, Maximilian Wolfgang; daughter-in-law, Joan (Joy) Leonar; sister, Sandra Mayernik; brother, David Jones; sisters-in-law, Diane Jones, Jane Vollmer, Rina Serrano Vollmer; numerous nieces and nephews.
Graduate of Mt. Carmel School of Nursing, and longtime resident of Newark, OH. Past member of Licking Co. Symphony Guild, Licking Co. Art Guild, Newark Garden Club, Monday Talks, Buckeye Lake Ladies Auxiliary, Mt. Carmel Alumni, Newark Maennerchor, A.M.A. Ladies Section. Past President of the Licking Co. Medical Alliance Ohio State Medical Alliance, Nu Sigma Nu Wives and Mothers Club, and Columbus Maennerchor Ladies Section.
Visitation Thursday, from 5-8 p.m. at Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 1850 W. Main St., Newark, OH 43055. Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick Church, 280 N. Grant Ave., Columbus, OH.
