Terry Jo Hoover's Obituary
A funeral service for Terry Jo Hoover, 66 of Granville will be held Tuesday June 6, 2017 at noon in the chapel of St. Joseph’s Cemetery, 6440 S. High Street, Lockborne, Ohio with Rev. Father J C P Sullivan officiating.
Terry died Thursday, June 1, 2017 at her residence surrounded by family. She was born October 16, 1950 in Delaware, Ohio to Joseph and Irene May (Halbert) Heller.
She retired in 2003 as a librarian for the State of Ohio with 30 years of service. She was a graduate of Brookhaven High School. She enjoyed crocheting and knitting. She spent hours crafting a needlework tapestry of the Last Supper. She was an excellent cook. She had a love for animals and a special place in her heart for miniature dachshunds. She looked forward to family trips and any time spent with family was precious.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Robert J. Hoover, whom she married on December 17, 1977; son, Kurtis (Aarika) Hoover of Utica, Gilbert (Ronda) Wolfe,III of Newark; grandchildren, Jordan Hoover, Jaimee Hoover, Jason Dixon, Christopher Harris, Kyle Harris, Katie Evans, Gilbert Wolfe, IV, Taylor Wolfe; former daughter-in-law and friend, Rebecca Dixon; sisters, Diana (Kenneth) Peterson of Columbus, Jackie (Hugh) Allen of Orlando, FL; brother, Bruce (Sharon) Heller of Newark; brother and sisters-in-laws, Ronald (Janet) Hoover of Delaware, Candice Hoover of Columbus; numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by father and mother-in-law, Kermit (Ruth) Hoover; brothers and sister-in laws, Donald Hoover, Kenneth (Mary) Hoover.
Calling hours will be observed Monday, June 5, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Newark Chapel of VENSIL & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME 1850 West Main Street.
