Sue Ellen Browning's Obituary
Sue Ellen Browning, 77 of Newark passed away Sunday, January 11, 2026 at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. She was born October 21, 1948 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Oris Roush and Donna (Steinmeyer) Roush who survives.
A 1966 graduate of Whetstone High School, Sue worked for Nationwide Insurance for many years and for the past several years she worked for Molina Healthcare. She was a faithful member of Bible Baptist Church in Newark.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, David Browning; a daughter, Melissa (Greg Gillespie) Browning; grandchildren, Patrick James (Ashley) Patterson, Robyn Laubach; great grandchildren, Abel, Holden and Atlas; and a brother, Donald Roush.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, January 16, 2026 at Vensil & Chute | Newark, 1850 W. Main Street.
A celebration of Sue’s life will be 1 p.m. Friday with Pastor Brad Henderson officiating.
