Stanley Wilson Romine's Obituary
A celebration of life for Stanley Wilson Romine, 74 of Heath will be 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at Vensil & Chute | Newark with Bradley Postle officiating. Private burial will take place at Fultonham Cemetery.
Stan died Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at the Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital in Columbus. He was born May 8, 1952 in Newark to the late Kenneth D. and Dorothy M. (Wilson) Romine. A graduate of Lakewood High School, Stan retired from Meritor where he worked in the laboratory. He also worked in management for Cardinal in Ohio and Greyhound in Michigan. Stan enjoyed sports and especially The Ohio State Buckeyes.
Stan is survived by his wife, Marla (Ridgley) Romine, who he married September 24, 1983; a son, Dwayne J. (Amy) Romine; a grandson, Evan Romine; a sister, Betty (Danny) Postle; a brother in-law, Willis Lantz; and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his first wife and mother of his son, Linda Richards.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Anna Lantz.
Friends and family may call from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. prior to the service on Tuesday at
Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 1850 W. Main Street, Newark.
The family would like to encourage casual attire and OSU apparel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Peletonia; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
