Funeral services for Sharon K. Cooper, 68 of Hebron will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 13, 2022 in the Newark Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home with Steve Harley officiating. Burial will follow in Wilson Cemetery
Sharon passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center, operated by Hospice of Central Ohio. She was born May 22, 1953 in Newark to Calvin “Luther” and Irene (Smith) McCarty.
She was comfortable caring for her family, reading, playing board games and watching movies.
Survivors include her son, Michael Dunigan and Megan of Georgia; sisters, Penny McCarty and James, twin sister, Karen and Fred Mathis all of Newark; sisters in-law, Alida (Mike) Bishop, Sherry Hysell all of Newark.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Ronald R. Cooper in 2021; three brothers; and one sister.
Visitation will be observed Friday one hour prior to the service from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 1850 West Main Street, Newark.
The family requests memorial contributions to the Licking County Humane Society, 825 Thornwood Drive, Heath, Ohio 43056.
