Sharon Kay Burgess' Obituary
A graveside memorial service for Sharon Kay Burgess, 70 of Newark will be held Friday, May 29, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Burgess died Thursday, May 21, 2015 at her residence. She was born February 26, 1945 in Newark to the late William Eugene and Jean Elizabeth (Cramer) Rose.
She had been employed with Moundbuilders Guidance, LICCO and MMRD following raising her family. She had been a driver’s education instructor, crossing guard and room mother. She enjoyed reading, gardening and collecting roosters. She attended COTC studying toward a degree in social work. Her family was very important to her especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her four sons, Jeffrey Eugene (Mericki) Priest of St. Louisville, Jay Edward (Angela) Priest of Newark, Jamie David (Dawn Woodrow) Priest of Newark, Jody Douglas Priest of Newark; grandchildren, Justin, Tasha, Forrest, Morgan, Jeffrey, Madyson; sisters, Linda (Victor) Burgess of Winter Haven, Florida, Vicki Rose of Oklahoma; her canine companion, Daisy.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sonny Fink; sister, Kathy Rose; niece, Courtney Rose.
