Sandra A. "Sandy" Farnsworth's Obituary
NEWARK: A funeral service for Sandra A. “Sandy” Farnsworth, 58 of Newark will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 23, 2013 in the Newark Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home with Pastor Anthony Bartlette officiating. Burial will be in Newark Memorial Gardens.
Sandy died Sunday at Ohio State University Hospital, East in Columbus. She was born January 25, 1954 in Newark to Wayne F. and Katherine A. (Snoor) Farnsworth, Sr. of Newark. She was a graduate of Newark High School class of 1972 and retired from DCSC in 2001 where she worked in accounting.
Sandy enjoyed crocheting and embroidery, traveling, and family retreats. She was a member of the Newark Eagles; secretary of Newark Brail Association; secretary/treasurer of the Ohio Blind Bowlers Association; and a member of the Saturday Night Bowling League at Park Lanes.
In addition to her parents Sandy is survived by her son, Jerry J. (Sara K.) Price, Jr. of Pickerington; a granddaughter, McKenzi Price; a brother, Wayne F. (Patricia L.) Farnsworth, Jr. of Newark; nephews, Wayne F. (Sarah) Farnsworth, III., Brad D. (Brooke) Farnsworth, and Nicholas P. (Laura) Farnsworth; 4 great nieces; and 2 great nephews.
Friends and family may visit 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at VENSIL & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME, 1850 W. Main Street, Newark.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Foundation for Hospice of Central Ohio, P.O. Box 430, Newark, OH 43058-0430. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
