Sally Ann Schooler's Obituary
A funeral service for Sally Ann Schooler, 54 of Newark will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday February 26, 2018 at the Newark Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home with Pastor Roger McElfresh officiating. Burial will be in Barnes Cemetery.
Sally died Monday February 19, 2018 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center operated by Hospice of Central Ohio. She was born February 5, 1964 in Newark to William B. and Clara D. (Althar) Crawford.
She was employed at Denison University Food Service Department for the last ten years. She formerly had been employed by Meijer’s. She had a very outgoing personality. She enjoyed working in her flower garden and was devoted to her granddaughter.
She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Samuel J. Schooler, Sr.; sons, Samuel J. (Kristin) Schooler, Jr., William J. Schooler all of Newark; granddaughter, Kelsie Grace Schooler; sisters, Sandy Cerny of Wooster, Deb Zdoniak of Columbus, Cheri Martin of Rittman, twin sister, Sara (James) Compton of Glenford; brothers, Joe Swartz of Newark, Mark (Nancy) Swartz of Frazeysburg, Jeff (Sarah) Swartz of Clinton, NC; niece, Elizabeth E. Filkins of Newark; sisters and brothers-in-laws, Ethel (Roger) Thompson of Newark, Richard (Ann) Schooler of Newark, Bekki Wickham of Zanesville; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her Mother and Father-in-law, Janice (Saxton) Wickham, Samuel J. Schooler, Jr.; granddaughter, Gracie Nicole Schooler; sister, Linda D. Johnston.
Calling hours will be observed 3 to 6 p.m. on Sunday February 25, 2018 at the funeral home 1850 W. Main St.
