Ruth E. Warth's Obituary
A funeral service for Ruth E. Warth, 80 of Newark will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in the Newark Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home. Burial will be in Barnes Cemetery.
Mrs. Warth died Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Licking Memorial Hospital. She was born September 3, 1937 in Newark to Paul and Hazel (Hughes) DeBevoise.
Ruth was a graduate of Newark High School. She met her husband Clarence while an employee of Passman Photos. They both were avid fans of the Cleveland Indians. She was an active member of the Wilkin’s Run Grange for over 50 years. She was also active in many community endeavors for the residents of Mary Ann Township. She enjoyed frequent trips to the Amish countryside. Holidays were a favorite time preparing foods and spending time with family. She especially treasured time she shared with her grandchildren.
She is survived by children, Ronald (Cheryl) Warth of Gambier, Thomas (Konnie) Warth of Newark, Diane (Darrell) Cordle Of Newark, Suzanne (Doug) Vermaaten of Newark; grandchildren, TJ (Sheena) Boroff, Brock (Jessica) Boroff, Tara (Josh) Williams, Chris Warth, Jeff Warth, Tyra Warth, Gavin Warth, Ajia Warth, Carson Warth, Zachary Cordle, Sara Cordle, Nicholas Vermaaten, Colin Vermaaten, Quinten Nelson, Joseph Warth, Paul Warth; great-grandchildren, Myla, Memphis, Mason, Ally, Adam, Liam; several nieces, nephews and her canine companion, Rosie.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Clarence J. Warth who died on April 6, 2014; and a son, Donald M. Warth.
Calling hours will be observed Saturday 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the VENSIL & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME, 1850 West Main Street, Newark.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Mary Ann Twp. Fire Dept. 6099 Fallsburg Road, Newark, Ohio 43055-9739. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
