Ruth A. Holmes' Obituary
A funeral service for Ruth A. Homes, 92 of Newark will be held Friday June 5, 2015 at 4;00 p.m. in the Newark Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home with Pastor William Wayt officiating.
Calling hours will be observed one hour before services on Friday.
Mrs. Holmes died Monday June 1, 2015 at Sharon Brooke. She was born January 29, 1923 in Kane, PA to the late Earl and Evelyn (Henry) Walters.
Mrs. Holmes is survived by her daughters, Linda J. Holmes and family of Newark, Wendy Holmes-Smith and family of Washington, Maine; son James Allen (Cindy) Holmes and family of Fryeburg, Maine; brother Dale (Eula) Walters of Bitburg, Germany; four grandchildren, Amanda England, Nathaniel Smith, Nell Smith, Lisa Ball; several great-grandchildren including Victoria Guinsler; sister-in-law, Joan Kerr of Mt. Jewett, PA; many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, James N. Holmes, July 31, 2010; brothers, Wayne Walters, Gerald Walters; sister, Joan Kerehenich.
