Russell "Rusty" Prouty's Obituary
Russell D. “Rusty” Prouty, 56, of Newark, Ohio died Thursday morning, January 17, 2019 at his home.
Born January 6, 1963 in Zanesville, Ohio he was the son of the late Marion Junior Prouty and the late Margaret (Murphy) Romine. He was a high school graduate and a truck driver.
Surviving is a daughter, Jessica A. (Sunny) Singh of Nashport; four granddaughters; one grandson; a very special friend, Rachel Boring of Newark and a very special aunt and uncle, Shirley and Francis Holzschuher of Dresden. Also surviving are several other aunts and uncles, Loren (Loretta) Prouty, Victor (Linda) Prouty, Max Prouty, Marion (Helen) Snack, Larry (Mary Lou) Prouty and Paul (Lynn) Murphy, Charles (Sonny) Murphy, Roy Murphy, Mary (Jerry) Ball and many cousins and friends.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by and uncle and aunt Vernon (Dorothy) Prouty and two aunts, Joyce Prouty and Bonnie Whyde Owens.
A celebration of Rusty’s life will be held from 2pm to 4pm Saturday, January 26, 2019 in the Social Hall of the Dresden First Baptist Church, 801 Chestnut Street.
