Roxanna J Decker's Obituary
A funeral service for Roxanna J. Decker, 75 of Newark will be held Saturday October 8, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Church of God, God’s Acres 675 N. Cedar Street with Evangelist Larry Dishman and Pastor David Stegmeier officiating. Burial will take place at Wilson Cemetery.
Visitation will be observed at the church on Friday, October 7, 2016 from 4 to 8 p.m.
Sister Decker died Sunday October 2, 2016 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born February 25, 1941 in Watkins Glen, N.Y. to Alfred William and Winifred Vivian (Holton) Allen.
Sister Decker was a devoted wife and mother, spending her time and talents with her family and serving alongside her husband as a pastor’s wife for 29 years.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Pastor Roger L. Decker; sons, Christopher (Bonnie) Decker of Newark, Roger (Darcy) Decker of Newark; daughters, Christina (John) Dodson of Heath, Anjanette (David) Wears of Heath, Nanette (Paul) Johnson of St. Louisville; twenty-four grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; brothers, Gordon (Susan) Hendrickson, Beaver Dams, NY, Larry Hendrickson of Alpine, NY, John Allen of Belpre, OH, David (Tina) Allen of Savona, NY, Matthew (Lynn) Allen of Hammondsport, NY; sisters, Vickie (Jim) Tenny of Cameron Mills, NY, Pam (John) Randall of Addison, NY, Linda Allen of Hammondsport, NY, Sandra (Earl) Borders, Heath; brothers–in-law, William Gascon, of Watkins Glen, NY, Larry Bucchioni of NY, Rodney (Sandy) Decker of OK; sister-in-law, Edith Roe of AZ; numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Mary Gascon, Maria Bucchioni; son-in-law, William R. Brown; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Decker and sister-in-law, Betty Farrell.
