Rosalie A. Strahl's Obituary
A memorial service for Rosalie A. Strahl, 90 of Newark will be held Thursday, November 21, 2013 at 7 p.m. in the Newark Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home with Pastor Matthew VanWinkle officiating.
Mrs. Strahl died Friday, November 15, 2013 at the Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation Center of Newark. She was born May 5, 1923 in Barnesville to the late Francis and Elizabeth (Lynn) Wilson.
Mrs. Strahl was a Methodist by faith. She was a 1941 graduate of Barnesville High School. She enjoyed playing bridge and euchre. She adored the companionship of her feline friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Jenny (Patrick) Peterson of Newark; grandson, David (Angel) Fout of Newark; brother, Charles (Mary) Wilson of Barnesville; sister-in-law, Nancy Ciroli of Newark; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph David Strahl, Jr in 1978, infant son, Joseph David Strahl, III in 1944; sister, Thyra “Jackie” Jamiel.
Calling hours will be observed Thursday evening from 5 pm to 7 pm at the VENSIL & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME 1850 West Main Street.
