Dear June, Ryan, & Alison:
Joyce and I were very sorry to hear of your loss! My many years of working with Ron were filled with great memories -- both personal and professional. We treasure your friendship and just want you all to know how many fond memories we have with all of you from the time the kids were born and into adulthood. Ron was a fun guy, and we have many happy memories of the times we have spent together. May God bless and comfort all of you during this time of loss!
Charlene and I send our condolences to June and the Flynn family. Ron was one of the most competent and well-liked managers ever hired by Owens Corning. He mentored dozens of people, bringing out the best in them. Ron was an excellent listener, wrote the most effective project proposals, and challenged his teams to reach or exceed their goals. He liked doing these so much that he purchased ISORCA after retiring from Owens Corning. His influence on glass fiber manufacturing is worldwide. Before closing, I must mention Ron’s sense of humor. One story he shared: While walking around State College, June saw a newspaper headline about a 2-headed cow. She looked at Ron and asked, “What did you get me into?” They both laughed. Ron and June’s love was strong then and grew stronger over the years. It continues through their children and grandchildren. I will miss Ron. I’ll never forget the opportunities he gave me to work on projects for ISORCA after I left Owens Corning. Thank you, Ron.
Dear June, Alison, Ryan and Emily,
Bob and I were both shocked and saddened to learn of Ron's passing. Although we haven't seen much of one another in recent years, our earlier escapades in Philadelphia remain forever etched in my memory with much fondness...and laughter! Sending love and hugs to you, June, and wishing all of you peace and comfort during this difficult time and in the days ahead.
Sorry for your loss! I was the project manager for several overseas projects at ISORCA with Ron. He was always fair, honest and knowledgeable about many fiberglass processes. I enjoyed working with him and Cathy (Yu Liu), my wife and I will miss him. God Bless!
Dear Flynn Family, I'm very sorry for your loss. I always enjoyed my visits with him. He was a really knowledgeable guy, and I took every opportunity to learn as much as I could. Anytime I was up that way, I gave him a call to see if he was around. He seemed like he was always on the go, but I was able to catch him from time to time. He will certainly be missed.
June, So sorry for your loss, Ron was such a big part of my life growing up around the corner. Ernie Abe
