Ronald H. Claypool's Obituary
A funeral service for Ronald H. “Ron” Claypool, 82 of Heath will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 14, 2014 at St. John’s United Church of Christ, 285 W. National Drive, with Rev. Mark Katrick officiating. Burial will be in Hanover Cemetery.
Mr. Claypool was born September 17, 1931 in Nashport to the late Howard and Mildred (Evans) Claypool. He was a 1949 graduate of Hanover-Toboso High School and served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He retired from Ohio Power. Mr. Claypool was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ; where he had served on church council and as Treasurer. He was an Ohio State fan, he enjoyed golf and most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Joann (Williamson) Claypool; a daughter, Debbie (Larry) Jones of Newark; sons, Scott (Joan Mumaw) Claypool of Burnsville, MN, David (Christina) Claypool of Heath and Chris (Beth) Claypool of Perrysburg; seven grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
Friends and family may call 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at VENSIL & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME, 1850 W. Main Street, Newark.
Memorial contributions may be made to the St. John’s Foundation Fund; Hospice of Central Ohio; or Catholic Social Services. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
