Roland F. Lemley's Obituary
The Family of Roland F. “Lem” Lemley, 76 of Newark, welcomes you to join in the graduation celebration of our Husband, Father and Grandpa into Heaven 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 21, 2012 at Christ United Methodist Church with Pastor Randy Lemley and Pastor Sam Harnish officiating. Burial will be in Newark Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Lemley passed away peacefully to be with the Lord April 19, 2012 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 29, 1936 in Pomeroy to the late Olive (Fox) Munyan. He worked refinishing golf clubs for many years at Burke Golf, Faultless, Golf Works and Club Masters. Working with wood was his specialty. Second only to his love of the Lord, was a love of family and horses.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Edna (Ball) Lemley, whom he married, June 26, 1955; a daughter, Debbie (Tim) Binckley of Newark; sons, Randy (Kay) Lemley of South Carolina, Jim (Teresa) Lemley of Newark, and Nate Lemley of Somerset; grandchildren, Brad (Carrie) Bennett, Nicole (Gustavo) Gonzalez-Anguló, Katie (John) Tyndall, Scott (Christie) Binckley, Joshua, Michael and Megan Lemley; step-grandchildren, Jeremy Zimmerman, Lisa Locklear, and Beth Sullivan; 7 great grandchildren; 9 step grandchildren; and a step sister, Karen Landram of Newark.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the NEWARK CHAPEL of VENSIL & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME, 1850 W. Main St., Newark.
Memorial contributions may be made to Christian Fellowship Church, 3073 Highway 308, Galivants Ferry, SC 2944 or Christ United Methodist Church, 10 N. Cedar St., Newark, OH 43055. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
