Roger Allen Willis' Obituary
A funeral service for Roger Allen Willis, 68 of Newark will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 10, 2017 in the Newark Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home with Chaplain Mark Pierce officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Willis died Monday, March 6, 2017 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 16, 1948 in Newark to the late Roy D. and Margaret E. (McCann) Willis.
A graduate of Newark High School and COTC, Mr. Willis worked as a Technician at the Newark Air Force Base. He was a former board member of the Sons of the American Legion, member of Newark Eagles and supporter of F.O.P. He enjoyed wood working and cabinetry.
Survivors include his former wife, Marilyn Willis of Newark; children, Kimberly Franks of Howard, OH, Shannon Willis of Newark and Kevin (Lisa) Willis of San Antonio, TX; a brother, Danny (Carol) Willis; sisters, Bonnie Chapman and Brenda Paugh; grandchildren Breah Lei (Tim), Alayna, and Jenna.
Friends and family may visit from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 9, 2017 at VENSIL & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME – NEWARK CHAPEL, 1850 W. Main St., Newark.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Ohio or the Wounded Warrior Project; Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
