Rocky was such a people person. You could tell he loved his job at the post office. He always greeted you with that big smile of his! He always made you feel like he had just been waiting for you to come in the door. One thing for sure, you always felt better leaving there then when you when in. Rocky was one special guy and will definitely be missed. Prayers to the family. May you find peace, comfort and strength in God during this time.

Memories at First Baptist. My sincere condolences to Julia and his family. It has been a long time since I have seen any of the family members but I have great memories of the 4 boys. Rocky was a little younger than my brother Carl who was also in the post office and we have lost him too. We can rejoice that we will see them again!
A genuine good man. He will be missed by everyone that knew him.

i feel cheated as i have just gotten to know Rocky over the last couple of years.I met him on a 3 day golf outing when he forgot to bring his clothes for the 3 days 31 other golfers had a good laugh at his expense but Rocky just took it in stride and laughed it off . I resently got involved in the Senior golf league at Vita view and Rocky could not have treated me any better he made me feel like we had been good friends for ever and in talking to people about him he was just like this with everybody , which is a very special gift and I wish i could have gotten to know him so much more.
Please except my condolences as I know Rocky was one in a million and we are all going to miss him.
I would like to extend my deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathy to Rocky’s beloved family. Being a merchant (Heart of the Home) in Dresden for 15 years, I would see Rocky every day while retrieving my mail or sending out packages and he ALWAYS had a smile on his face! His sense of humor and witty comments made it a joy to go into the Post Office. His mantra was “Just Living the Dream” I can still hear him saying that phrase! Knowing he just retired recently and learning of his “unexpected” passing is very heartbreaking to all of us who knew him. You will be in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time and in the days to come.
