Robert P. Spangler's Obituary
Robert P. Spangler, 36, of Etna, Ohio, formerly of Frazeysburg, Ohio died Wednesday morning, December 9, 2020 at his home.
Born January 18, 1984 in Zanesville, Ohio he is the son of David Spangler of Roseville, Ohio and Ellen K. (Parr) Williams of Frazeysburg. Robert was a 2002 graduate of Tri-Valley High School. Following high school he served our country in the United States Army as a part of the 11th Bravo Division. Robert was a member of Dresden American Legion Post 399. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and playing the guitar.
Surviving is his mother, Ellen (Mark) Williams of Frazeysburg, his father, David (Brenda K.) Spangler of Roseville; two brothers, Benjimen Williams of Frazeysburg and Brian Spangler of Carlwick, Ohio; two sisters, Amy Jo Hiles and Audra Johnson, both of Zanesville and several nieces and nephews. Also surviving is his very special life-long friends, Courtney and Darrin Kreis of Etna.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Carl and Pearl Parr; his paternal grandparents, Thomas W. Spangler and Beverly Clark and an uncle, Steven Parr.
To celebrate Robert’s life, a Candlelight Vigil Service will be held at 6:00pm Saturday, December 19, 2020 in the parking lot of the Longaberger Homestead on Raiders Road, Frazeysburg. All of Robert’s friends and relatives are invited to attend.
The family was assisted by the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil & Chute.
