Robert F. Sims' Obituary
Private graveside services for Robert F. Sims will be observed by the family Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Cedar Hill Cemetery, 275 N. Cedar Street, Newark.
Mr. Sims passed away September 3, 2016 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Toledo. He was born October 23, 1933 in Newark to the late G. Franklin and Anna G. (Ashton) Sims. He was a 1951 graduate of Newark High School and a graduate of The Ohio State University. He served in the United States Navy from 1954-1958. Mr. Sims had worked in Personnel Administration. He retired from Pinkerton Security and Investigation Services in 1995. He enjoyed auctioning, collecting antiques and was a long time fan of the Cleveland Indians baseball team.
Mr. Sims is survived by his two children, Judy A. McCracken of Toledo and David S. (Jammie Polen) Sims of Newark; grandchildren Lindsey (Jonathan) Carle, Geoffrey Sims, Stephanie (Taylor) Rakestraw, Morgan McCracken, Kelsey McCracken, Conner McCracken, Molly McCracken; and Four great grandchildren;
In addition to his parents Mr. Sims was preceded in death by his wife Ann Elizabeth (Barrick) Sims; a sister Sally Sims; a son-in-law Steve McCracken and a daughter-in-law Melanie Sims.
