Robert E. Shepard's Obituary
A funeral service for Robert E. Shepard, 79 of Hebron will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 1, 2025 at Vensil & Chute | Newark with Randy Clour officiating. Burial will be at Newark Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Shepard died July 25, 2025 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center, operated by Hospice of Central Ohio. He was born October 18, 1945 in Mount Vernon, OH to the late Ennice and Sarah (Arnold) Shepard. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Mr. Shepard retired from Owens-Corning Fiberglas. He was a lifetime member of the Newark Eagles and was an avid fan of the Ohio State Buckeye's and the Cleveland Browns.
Survivors include his loving wife, Marie, who he married October 31, 1982; step-children, Albert (Jennifer) Delancey, Deborah Rader; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Shepard was preceded in death by brothers, Howard, Delbert and Charles; and a sister, Florence Wright.
Friends and family may call two hours prior to the service from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, 1850 W. Main Street, Newark.
