Riecky L. "Rick" Carney's Obituary
A memorial service for Riecky L. “Rick” Carney 65 of Heath will be held Tuesday May 28, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. in the Newark Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home 1850 W. Main Street. Visitation will be observed Tuesday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Mr. Carney died Friday May 24, 2019 at Selma Markowitz Care Center operated by Hospice of Central Ohio. He was born August 24, 1953 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late James E. Carney and Ruth L. (Straight) Carney of Winter Springs, FL.
Mr. Carney retired from Ampacet after 20 years of service. He had also been previously employed by Brockway Glass in Zanesville. He was a graduate of Waynesburg, PA High School. He was ready to travel in a minutes notice. He took great detail in caring for his yard.
In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife, Carole (Adams) Carney; children, Sonya (Eric) Beaty, Beth Carney, Michelle Carney all of Pennsylvania, Melissa D. Ayres, Cale Ayres both of Zanesville; brother, David W. (Janice L.) Carney of Winter Springs, FL; thirteen grandchildren; one great-grandson; several nieces, nephews and cousins; his two pets, Minnie and Toy.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law and best friend, Rod Stoops.
