Richard D. "Rick" Pyles' Obituary
A memorial service for Richard “ Rick” D. Pyles, III, 44 of Newark will be held 7:00 p.m. Friday, September 2, 2016 at the Newark Chapel Vensil & Chute Funeral Home with Eric Miller officiating.
Rick died Tuesday August 30, 2016 at the Kindred Transitional and Rehabilitation Center- Newark. He was born March 4, 1972 in Newark to Richard D. “Gomer” and Martha L. (Johnson) Pyles, Jr. of Newark.
Rick had attended Lakewood and Zanesville High School. He had been employed by 84 Lumber, Scott Lumber, Pizza Hut, Johnny John’s Smorgasbord and Schmidt’s Sausage Haus. He enjoyed bowling and billiards and had earned several trophies. He had a very generous spirit and helped serve community Thanksgiving Day meals.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, William (Joan) Pyles of Gambier; aunt & uncle, Jerry (Sharon) Bentley of Heath; cousins, Kimberly Denton and Karla Johnson of Mesquite, TX, Karen Johnson of Yucaipa, CA; nieces, Shay Parsley and Hailey Kabbia.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, John Vernon (Lillian M.) Johnson, who resided in Newark, Richard D. (Glena Mae) Pyles, Sr. who had resided in Webster Springs, W VA.
Calling hours will be observed Friday from 6 pm until services at the VENSIL & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME 1850 West Main Street.
The family requests memorial contributions to Foundation for Hospice of Central Ohio, P.O. Box 430, Newark, OH 43058-0430. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
