A funeral service for Richard L. Johnson, 85 of Newark will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 3, 2021 at the Newark Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home. Burial will be at Wilson Cemetery.
Mr. Johnson died Monday, November 29, 2021 at Embassy of Newark. He was born July 19, 1936 in Shawnee, OH to the late Snowden and Fannie (Barnes) Johnson. A veteran of the U.S. Army, Mr. Johnson retired from the Owens-Corning Tech Center. He was a member of Heath-Crusader Lodge #798 F&AM and Aladdin Shrine.
Survivors include his children, Rick Johnson, Deborah Lamp, Kris Johnson, Jason Johnson, Ted Johnson; grandchildren, Dominica, Lisa, Coradino, Trevin, Josh, Jennifer, Shanon, Kyle, Gage, Avery, and Kalen; and numerous great-grandchildren.
