Rebecca Sue Thompson's Obituary
NEWARK: Rebecca Sue Thompson, 63 of Newark passed away Tuesday evening, August 14, 2012 in Nashport surrounded by her loving family.
Ms. Thompson was born July 18, 1949 in Zanesville to Ray and Anna Mae (Kendall) Thompson of Nashport. She was a graduate of Tri-Valley High School and retired from State Farm Insurance. She was a member of the Nashport United Methodist Church. She enjoyed knitting and quilting; loved to read; and took great joy in spending time with her granddaughter.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her son, Devin (Mary) Clippinger of Heath; two granddaughters, Hannah Clippinger and Kayla Clippinger; two sisters, Debbie Weber of Zanesville, and Babs (Dave) Hankinson of Granville.
Ms. Thompson was preceded in death by Scott Clippinger.
Friends and family may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, August 19, 2012 at the NEWARK CHAPEL of VENSIL & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME, 1850 W. Main St., Newark.
A memorial service will be at 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with Deacon Bill Andrews officiating.
