R. Michael Rowland's Obituary
A memorial service for R. Michael Rowland, 75 of Newark will be held Monday September 19, 2022 12:00 p.m. in the Newark Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 1850 West Main Street.. Burial will follow at Newark Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
Mr. Rowland passed away on September 1, 2022 at the Arlington Care Center. He was born April 20, 1947 in Newark to the late Eldon Leroy and Janet L. (Houck) Rowland.
Michael retired as a machinist at Owens Corning Fiberglas with 25 years of service. He was a member of GMP Local # 244. He enjoyed woodworking especially building furniture.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Susan J. (Harris) Rowland; children, Gina (Robert) Saunders of Plain City, Angela (Chris) Whitley of Zebulon, NC, Dustin Rowland of Newark; grandchildren, Geoffrey, Elisabeth, Ian, Brittanie, Meaghan, Fiona, Phoebe Saunders all of Columbus, Emily (Jeremy) Simonton, Andrew Dyar all of Springfield; sisters, Cecelia Rowland, Melissa (Richard) Lanni of FL; brother, David Rowland of Newark; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
