Phyllis J Forrer's Obituary
A funeral service for Phyllis J. Forrer, 86 of Newark will be held Thursday June 6, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in the Newark Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home with Rev. Harold Libert officiating. Burial will be in Newark Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Forrer died Sunday June 2, 2013 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center operated by Hospice of Central Ohio. She was born January 22, 1927 in Glouster, Ohio to the late Walter and Marie ( Chambers) Champlin.
She was a graduate of Rittman High School and a member of the First United Methodist Church. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Kenneth G. Forrer, whom she married June 2, 1946; sons, Doug (Judy) Forrer of Heath, Greg (Betsy) Forrer of Newark; grandchildren, Josh (Jen) Forrer of Heath, Andy Forrer of Heath, Mike (Nicki) Forrer of Newark, Angie (Kris) Ray of Heath, Brad (Jenny) Keene of Baltimore, MD; great-grandchildren, Noah Forrer, Vivian Forrer, Cooper Ray and Natalie Ray.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter Karen Keene, September 28, 2012.
Calling hours will be observed Thursday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the VENSIL & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME 1850 West Main Street.
