Pearl B. Osborn's Obituary
A funeral service for Pearl B. Osborn, 89 of Newark will be held Monday June 3, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in the Bethel Apostolic Church, 2689 James Road SE, with Pastor Jeff Holman and Rev. Don Meade, Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Smith Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Osborn died Thursday, May 30, 2013 at the home of her daughter, Joy, in Tallmadge, Ohio. She was born August 23, 1923 in Harrison Twp, Licking Co. to the late Byron and Catherine (Hudnall) Roley.
She was a founding member of the Bethel Apostolic Church and had served as the secretary. She was also an adopted member of the Apostolic Temple of Akron. She enjoyed spending time watching birds. She liked weaving and was an avid reader.
She is survived by her children; Pansy Queen of Newark, Joy (Ed) Phillips of Tallmadge, Judith (Ronnie) Hewitt of Newark, Delbert (Peg) Osborn of Leesburg, FL, Lewis C. (Karen) Osborn, Jr. of Frazeysburg, Asa (Marilyn) Osborn of Newark; daughter-in-law, Vicki Osborn of Newark; brother-in-law, Donnie (Mary Lou) Osborn of Newark; caring grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother for over fifty children; and three nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Lewis C. Osborn, Sr.; daughter, Janice Osborn; son, Calvin Osborn, son-in-law, Bill Queen, sister, Gladys (Denzil) Morrison; sister-in-law, Louise (Bernard) Livingston; two grandsons and one great-grandson.
Calling hours will be observed Sunday, June 2, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 6 to8 p.m. at the VENSIL & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME 1850 W. Main St., Newark.
